WidePoint Company iSYS Awarded Information Assurance Contract From Defense Logistics Agency

May 14, 2008

Washington - WidePoint Corporation, a leading provider of advanced information technology, identity assurance and mobile telecom expense management services, recently announced that its subsidiary iSYS, was awarded a contract by the Defense Logistics Agency Computer Emergency Response Team, or DLA-CERT.

The contract, initially valued at $2.58M contains two consecutive option years. Under the award iSYS will assist DLA-CERT in maintaining an appropriate level of information assurance on an enterprise wide basis. iSYS will facilitate the assessment, implementation, integration, configuration and documentation of information assurance tools and controls. The company will also provide device policy development and training for information assurance controls and tools in support of the DLA-CERT enterprise architecture. This work will be performed at the DLA-CERT site in Columbus, Ohio.

WidePoint CEO Steve Komar said, "This contract awarded to iSYS underscores the continued emergence of information assurance initiatives throughout the federal government. It also highlights iSYS' capabilities in the information assurance market, which have been largely overshadowed by the company's leadership role in mobile telecom expense management since being acquired by WidePoint in January of this year. By further solidifying and expanding our presence in the information assurance market along with that of our subsidiary, Operational Research Consultants, we are also further expanding our client base and breadth of expertise in this target market space."

iSYS President Jin Kang added, "iSYS is pleased to broaden the scope of work we perform for the Defense Logistics Agency. We feel historically our strengths in information assurance are notable and we continue to aggressively pursue opportunities in this expanding market segment."
