Action Systems Awarded GSA Schedule

July 2, 1998

<%=company1%>, today announced that the General Services Administration (GSA) has issued a schedule to the company, enabling any group or organization within the Federal government to purchase customized, highly integrated, patented and field tested mobile computing and communications systems directly from the Action Systems federal government team.

"We're extremely happy and honored that the Federal government has selected Action Systems as a strategic partner in accomplishing their mission," said Theresa Valdez-Harvey, CEO of Action Systems. "The fact that they chose Action Systems to deliver fully integrated mobile systems should be seen as an indication of our total commitment to serving the federal government."

The five current semi-ruggedized mobile system configurations fill a unique role in their capabilities which enables every organization to deploy throughout the world and be able to use variable power sources while operating the fully tested and integrated notebook, printer, scanner, imagery and communication system. The systems are extremely mobile, are designed to fit in the airline overhead bins and can be powered by the integrated batteries, AC or DC power. The patented systems also offer a secure communications capability and can be used by military, law enforcement, emergency management and health agencies for command and control, communications, information collection and data fusion roles.

Action Systems, which is an 8(a) certified, woman owned small business, has been providing integrated mobile systems via a number of IDIQ contracts to the Federal government since 1992 in a variety of configurations designed specifically to fit the customer requirement and mission. Currently the U.S. Air Force and Army have a large number of the systems fielded. The systems have been not only extremely reliable but extremely durable and valuable as well. "These systems have been in Bosnia and have been the means to provide the Commander with timely and accurate information which has had a major impact on speeding up the decision making process," stated Valdez-Harvey. "This is a great opportunity for the government to use COTS technologies and receive a best value system."
