Intermec CN3: The First Windows Mobile 6.1 Rugged Handheld

CN3 Mobile Computer is the smallest, most advanced, rugged computer in the world, with integrated GPS and Bluetooth which increases efficiency and safety by enabling hands-free turn-by-turn voice navigation. With 3G WAN and Cisco Compatible WiFi and Bluetooth radios, users are connected with voice and high-speed data (GSM/EDGE or CDMA/EV-DO) anywhere they go.
It looks like a new record has been set with the release of the Intermec CN3. With the dimensions of 6.3 x 3.2 x 1.1 inches and a weight of 14-16 ounces, it is the world's smallest mobile computer. This device is part cell phone, part GPS, part camera--all mixed together in a sleek casing.
Buyers can choose from a backlit numeric keyboard, or a full QWERTY keyboard. The CN3 is ready to go with 802.11 WiFi, so you can surf the net as you travel. It is also compatible with Bluetooth 2.0, and has a GPS receiver with internal antenna. As for ports, it has got a USB 1.1, RS232, and Ethernet single or quad dock. The CN3 has the option of being fitted with a 2D imager for bar code scanning, or a 1.3 Mega-pixel camera with LED flash.
The CN3 comes with about 128MB of Flash memory, and a PXA270 520 MHz Processor. Additional memory can be added with the mini-SD slot. The LCD is a TFT screen with a wide width of 3.5 inches, complete with an LED backlight. As for audio support, this thing has dual speakers, a microphone, wireless Bluetooth headset support, VoIP, even speech recognition as option.
In addition to the new Windows Mobile 6.1, the CN3 also comes with Intermec's SmartSystems software which is designed to install, maintain, and apply software upgrades according to the company.
