New Software Option For KODAK Scan Station 100 Scanner Helps Small To Medium Sized Businesses Get Information Organized
June 5, 2008
<%=company1%>For smaller businesses, strategic IT purchases help to improve how an organization operates and grows. To address the issue of document disorder, Kodak, Notable Solutions, Inc. (NSI), and Square 9 Softworks developed a total information management system with affordability, functionality and productivity built in mind. The KODAK Scan Station 100 with NSi AUTOSTORE Express Device Capture now features compatibility with Square 9 Softworks' SMARTSEARCH 2.0 Software to provide small to medium sized businesses with a fully integrated document capture and management solution.
"Effective document management systems dramatically affect the way a business minimizes paper filing, gets organized and better meets its customers' needs," said Stephen Young, President and Chief Executive Officer, Square 9 Softworks. "At less than $5,000, the KODAK Scan Station 100 with NSi AUTOSTORE Express, and our own SMARTSEARCH Software, provides enterprise level benefits in an affordable and productive package."
According to a recent study by AMR Research, small to medium sized businesses will increase technology spending by an average of 5.3 percent in 2008. About 49 percent of this overall investment will go toward improving the operation of these businesses.
Square 9 Softworks' SMARTSEARCH 2.0 Software features an easy to use database indexing system that manages captured images, solving the issue of document management for paper intensive businesses. The solution is ideal for school systems, law offices, construction companies, physician practices, accounting firms, trucking companies, and mortgage and insurance agencies, among others. SMARTSEARCH Software works with NSi AUTOSTORE Express to manage documents in user friendly formats, such as PDF, MICROSOFT WORD and EXCEL. Scanned documents can also be sent to any user defined location, such as a printer, network location or email address, using the Scan Station 100's networked sharing features.
"We continue to find ways to help our customers maximize the benefits of document imaging technology and improve their business process management capabilities," said Roger Markham, Product Marketing Manager, Distributed Capture, Kodak's Graphic Communications Group. "The paper problem affects small businesses in the same way that it affects large enterprises, so we continually design solutions that address a wide range of user needs and market demands."
