Government Contracting experts to bring 2-day training to Guam to assist local contractors with DCAA compliance

Tysons, VA and Hagåtña, Guam (PRWEB) - Capital Edge Consulting is pleased to announce a 2-day seminar for Government Contractors in Guam. The event page GovConinGuam.com overviews the training designed to help government contracting professionals stay abreast and gain valuable insights into recent legislative, regulatory and DCAA audit guidance actions, being held during March 9-10, 2016 at the Westin Resort Guam.

The Record of Decision (ROD) for relocating U.S. Marine Corps forces to Guam was released late last year. The Department of Defense (DoD) released $309 million in early December to fund initial projects to build a Marine Corps base in Guam. The majority of the Marines being relocated are expected to be in Guam in the next few years. Infrastructure to support the transition will provide a great opportunity for local contractors and to Guam’s economic development. Total funds related to the build-up are currently capped at $8.7Billion and the project is slated to last several years.

“We recognized a need for local training to support Guam Government Contractors and are pleased to offer this 2-day seminar to help them navigate the changing landscape,” said Chad Braley. “We created this seminar with the intention of keeping it affordable for government contractors of all sizes to assist them in understanding the recent legislative, regulatory and DCAA audit guidance updates for the Guam contracting community.”

Whether attendees are new and emerging or established government contractors, they will find this seminar to include valuable information. The course is intended for professionals in the areas of accounting, compliance, contract management, finance, internal audit and in-house counsel. The event will be led by GovCon Experts Chad Braley, Anthony Kim and Craig Stetson from Capital Edge Consulting. The team includes recognized experts in the government contracting industry leveraging years of experience. Their goal is to help break down complex rules and regulations into information to help contractors understand and apply it to their contracting initiatives.

The seminar will include a timely update of current “hot topics” related to contracting with the federal government and interacting with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA). This will include discussions focused on an analysis of what contractors are seeing in the market today and issues they are facing with government contract administration, compliance and interaction with DCAA and DCMA personnel. The experts will also cover the fundamentals of government contracting and insight into construction contracts. Visit the online agenda for more details on the schedule.
