Métier Awarded Contract From The State Of Louisiana

Washington, DC - Métier, Ltd., an innovator in project portfolio management software and services, announced recently that it has been selected as a "Tier 1" contractor for the State of Louisiana's Office of Information Technology (OIT).

The State of Louisiana has a growing need for project and program management capabilities to support their portfolio of IT projects. The State of Louisiana chose vendors based on their unique abilities to fit that need. Métier was named a vendor within the new project and program management category as part of OIT's Consulting and Support Services Agreement (CSSA). CSSA provides the state with a flexible means of obtaining contractor resources in a rapid, efficient and cost effective manner. Contractors will be used for assisting OIT to plan, analyze, design, implement, maintain and support technology projects. Métier was chosen following a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) process that included over fifty companies.

"All State governments have an escalating need to effectively and efficiently manage their portfolio of projects," said Sandra Richardson, chief operating officer of Métier. "The addition of the project and program management category to CSSA shows how important proper planning and analysis is to the outcome of successful projects. We look forward to working with the State of Louisiana to drive process and performance improvements across their portfolio of IT investments – saving time, money and optimizing performance."

Métier's contract with the State of Louisiana OIT is in effect immediately.
