WESTON Awarded U.S. Air Force AETC Environmental Services Contract

San Antonio, CA - Weston Solutions, Inc. announced recently the award of a second consecutive Architect-Engineer (A&E) Environmental Services Contract from the U.S. Air Force Air Education and Training Command (AETC) to be administered out of AETC Headquarters at Randolph AFB, Texas.

WESTON is one of four companies awarded this indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract, although they are the only incumbent chosen from the previous AETC Environmental Services contract that WESTON has held since 2001. The new contract will extend up to 10 years (1 one-year basic ordering period plus 9 one-year options) with a potential shared contract ceiling of up to $200M.

Patrick G. McCann, WESTON's Chairman, CEO and President said, "Being selected for a follow-on contract is always significant because it speaks directly to the level of quality and responsiveness that you provided the customer the first time out. We look forward to continued success with AETC in the years ahead, in support of WESTON's overall strategic partnership with the Air Force."

Under the contract, WESTON will provide nationwide support in a broad range of environmental services focused on the primary Air Force environmental programs of restoration, compliance, pollution prevention and conservation/planning. Specific support services will include hazardous and solid waste management, water and wastewater services, air permitting support, NEPA services, BRAC studies, natural/cultural resources protection, risk assessments, investigations and engineering studies, and planning support. More specialized services include UXO assessments, geophysical investigations, environmentally-related emergency response and information technology support. These services will be concentrated at the 13 AETC installations located in the southern U.S., including: Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida.
