VFA.projectplan
VFA.projectplan supports optimum use of resources by bundling together deficiency correction projects into contract packages for cost-effective contracting, purchasing, and correction. This module dynamically links the database of baseline facilities conditions and needs with a computer-based what-if environment to create projects and allocate funding for short-and long-term execution.
Why Bundle?
Aggregating capital plans across large building portfolios optimizes capital outlay by taking advantage of economies of scale and improving supply management. Specifically, building portfolio managers can logically group projects to manage staffing levels, avoid duplication of work, and bundle purchasing horizontally and vertically.
Portfolio managers can conduct interactive analysis of various project bundling approaches to assess which is the most cost effective.
An Example
Lets assume that erecting staging is involved in the correction of failing windows on Building A, and is also part of the masonry mortar repair of that same building. VFA.projectplan will allow the user to quickly identify the redundancy, add project-specific costs, and also add project soft costs as percentages or lump sum figures, including a penalty for delaying the project.
Users can modify annual capital plans based upon experience, update underlying unit construction costs to modify future budgets, and report predicted versus actual costs across multiple entities
