From a small glove reconditioner founded in 1977 in central Alabama, the company has grown to a national presence, providing an alternative to the traditional and more expensive methods of disposing of textiles and related products that contain non-hazardous, quasi-hazardous and hazardous materials.

With operating facilities in Brent, AL, Bartlesville, OK, Toledo, OH and Spring Hill, TN, our fleet of over-the-road vehicles provides a direct link to our customers in 26 states. Service to customers in the other states is provided by common carrier. Current plans provide for additional facilities in the northeast, west coast, and gulf coast areas.

Utilizing a mineral spirits drycleaning process, we are able to recondition textiles and similar woven and non-woven products for reuse, eliminating the costly alternative of disposal. Unlike the traditional industrial textile rental company that uses conventional waterwashing technology and must contend with complex wastewater issues, we do not experience the same problems because waterwashing in our facilities is done after the textiles are basically free of any contaminants.

What makes Brent Industries unique is our on-site petrochemical refineries. Everyone else that operates a petrochemical drycleaning business, ends their attempt to clean their used solvents and contaminates removed from the products they process by distillation in purchased predesigned distillation equipment. Only Brent Industries has gone beyond that step and erected on-site fractionation towers / mini-petrochemical refineries to clean the used solvents. As a result, we are able to continually refine our solvent. Interestingly, we generate approximately 3,000 gallons monthly that is pure enough to reuse in other applications.

While cradle-to-grave liabilities are not transferable, and never eliminated, our process greatly reduces the exposure to long-term liabilities associated with disposal as we do not use landfills - a process that is the closest answer to EPA mandated waste reduction / elimination guidelines.
