Team-oriented System for Small Businesses

TeamLeader 2000 is a multi-user system for small businesses, which now includes customizations support and email notification, that allows users to manage an organization's people, work, and documents. Created based on user needs, it is designed to provide industry-strength "out of the box" functionality with no server requirements.

The manufacturer states that this system enables supervisors to assign, track, and manage tasks dynamically and interactively. Team members can view and manage workload, attach and track products, and share information with other members. In addition, senior management can see what teams are working on, and drill down into the various activities, eliminating the need for status reports.

This is all accomplished through a two-part user interface that shows the "Team View" and the "Project View" on a single screen. Task-oriented document management is supported through the attachment of custom forms, ASCII memos, binary files, Web pages, and ActiveX objects. Advanced features include lifecycles, automated notification of events, and database replication for working offsite.

With email notification, supervisors can be notified when a requested action item is completed or a targeted due date is changed. Various forms of notification exist for Exchange, GroupWise, Netscape mail, or any other MAPI-compliant mail system.
