TurningPoint Announces General Availability Of NiOS 6

New Release of NiOS Strengthens Federal Telecom Expense Management Solutions (TEMS) and Accelerates Transition to the Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) Contract

Rockville, MD (PRWEB) - TurningPoint Global Solutions LLC announces the availability of NiOS 6, the latest evolution of its successful Network Inventory and Optimization Solution (NiOS®), a TEM software platform built specifically for government organizations. This offering is designed to support the new GSA EIS contract, agency Cloud initiatives, and the government’s increased focus on cost and budget controls.

NiOS is a single platform solution that a) automates management of all telecom contracts, services, and assets – including wireline, wireless, and Satcom, b) reduces government spending through expense validation and built-in cost control features, c) increases productivity, and e) meets government security and 508c guidelines. NiOS 6 provides a new intuitive user interface, and adds features enabling agencies to:

  • Accelerate the transition to EIS in a low-risk manner through CLIN-based asset management, support for Fair Opportunity Task Orders, utilization of TurningPoint’s innovative Tag-Track-Validate transition process, and by augmenting resources available from GSA
  • Drive greater efficiency and standardize processes for managing EIS and all other telecom contracts, ordering, inventory, and expenses through a single user interface
  • Future Proof their TEM investment by introducing new technologies, such as Cloud, Software Defined Networking (SDN), and Network Function Virtualization (NFV)
  • Strengthen compliance with agency, GSA, and OMB reporting mandates – including those pertaining to the progress of the EIS transition.

Existing NiOS clients can leverage the capabilities of NiOS 6 through a smooth, non-disruptive, software upgrade to existing deployments. New clients can utilize TurningPoint specialists and built-in configuration capabilities to deploy NiOS 6 into a new environment.

TurningPoint Managing Partner David Hughes notes that “NiOS 6 is being introduced at a key time for government agencies, as they look for new ways to drive cost control in this era of restricted budgets, to streamline the aggressive schedule to transition to EIS, and to simultaneously manage all other telecom contracts and services with a single, integrated, platform.”

About NiOS 6. NiOS 6 allows agencies to manage telecom businesses through an extensible inventory data base and application modules that automate ordering, asset management, billing, disputes, workflow, and reporting. NiOS is Section 508 and FISMA compliant and can be deployed at a government site or in a FedRAMP cloud.
