Accu-Time Systems, Inc. Announces Release Of The 7010 Ethernet Door Access Controller
Ellington, CT – April 30, 2003 -- Accu-Time Systems, Inc. announces the release of its new 7010 Physical Access Control (PAC) device. The ATS 7010 controller is ideally suited for the control of doors in a building that needs to increase its level of security. The 7010 features 2 digital outputs for the control of a door and alarm or even two doors. Two digital inputs are also included, one for the monitoring of the door position to determine if it has been propped or forced open while the other digital input can accommodate a feed from a fire alarm system to open the door under emergency conditions if desired.
Keeping the 7010 up to date with the latest system enhancements is also made easy by the FLASH based architecture which allows for the "soft loading" of program updates and enhancements. The 7010 supports two readers enabling anti-pass back control, software variable timers to control door open delay, as well as auto-discrimination between barcode, magnetic and proximity readers. No more reader set up, just plug in your readers and the unit will auto detect what format you are decoding.
The 7010 supports both RS485 serial and 10 base T Ethernet. The Ethernet communications on the 7010 feature true embedded Ethernet support rather than a separate serial to Ethernet conversion board. When using the Ethernet communications feature, say goodbye to pulling serial communications cable, just plug the 7010 into the buildings existing network and you're communicating! DHCP support handles the setting of the Ethernet address automatically, making installations nearly foolproof.
Future enhancements that are coming soon include the 7020 which has all of the features of the 7010 plus smart card and Biometrics support. Look for the release of the 7020 during the summer of 2003.
