Army & Air Force Exchange Service Selects StrongMail For Reliable Email Delivery

Redwood City, CA - StrongMail Systems, Inc. recently announced that the Army & Air Force Exchange Service has selected StrongMail to provide reliable, high-performance email delivery to millions of active duty, Reserve, National Guard and retired military members and their families stationed around the world.

AAFES is a joint military command that serves as a multi-channel retailer, offering products to authorized customers via retail stores, catalog and an online store. In addition to operating 3,100 facilities across more than 30 countries, AAFES also offers more than 25,000 items through its Exchange Online website. AAFES' online store extends the exchange benefit to customers worldwide, regardless of where they are located. In 2005, AAFES revenues totaled $8.7 billion, making it the 34th largest retailer in the world.

StrongMail is providing AAFES with a reliable email delivery platform for its marketing email that is capable of scaling to accommodate a growing number of online customers. Additionally, StrongMail will offer AAFES new visibility into email deliverability and performance. With StrongMail's real-time reporting tools, AAFES will be able to identify delivery issues and optimize email campaigns based on performance. StrongMail's robust email infrastructure will also allow AAFES to expedite the delivery of its email marketing campaigns.

StrongMail integrates a complete set of delivery, tracking and management capabilities into a single platform that is optimized for high deliverability. StrongMail has the most sophisticated bounce management technology in the industry, providing granular visibility into delivery rates with clear, actionable steps to correct erroneous ISP blocks or failures. Because deliverability parameters are constantly changing, StrongMail continually pushes updates to its software installations, including the latest throttling limits, bounce codes and other ISP rules to keep its customers performing at maximum efficiency.

"It's an honor to be working with the Army & Air Force Exchange, as they are one of the principal lifelines for supplying our armed forces with the comforts of home," said Bill Wagner, vice president of marketing at StrongMail Systems.
