BrightTools To Release New Activeworx Security Center v2.0
New version features extended security device support, scheduling enhancements, and a new graphical user interface
Boca Raton, FL - BrightTools Inc announced the scheduled release of a significant upgrade to their security information management (SIM) solution today – Activeworx Security Center v2.0. The new version, scheduled for release in early April, extends security device support, provides new scheduling enhancements, and offers a new graphical user interface (GUI). Whether a definition update or a breach of security, Activeworx logs all network activity reported by security devices, such as intrusion detection systems (IDSs), firewalls, anti-virus tools and more, into an easy to understand report. Activeworx enables logs to be organized in a variety of ways, including simple reports, graphs, relationship illustrations, and even integration with Crystal Reports.
Now, the Activeworx task manager enables administrators to schedule archiving, deleting and copying of events for further event management. This way, your database is always clean and organized, enabling optimum performance speeds by preventing Activeworx from being slowed down by jumbled or old information.
"Activeworx's new scheduling engine also allows users to schedule reports and upload them to a central web server for later review. This way, security can be monitored from the office or the road", Jeff Dell, founder of Activeworx, explains. "Plus, this allows others who might be interested in recent events, such as customers and executives, to view reports."
Activeworx v2.0 has expanded its security device support to now include Check Point. Now, any information reported by a Check Point perimeter firewall will be collected, organized, and logged for later review.
"Check Point has long been acknowledged as a key player in the security market. Many enterprises utilize their perimeter firewall for the restriction of network communication", Jeff Richards, CEO of BrightTools, explains. "Supporting their devices gives Activeworx a well rounded architecture for supporting versatile security environments."
Activeworx Security Center now sports a fresh new look and feel. Version 2.0 presents an entirely new graphical user interface (GUI) providing a more user-friendly look to the cutting edge features behind Activeworx's enterprise functionality.
Activeworx offers an excellent return-on-investment with base packages, consisting of 3 desktop licenses, 1 collector, and 10 event databases, starting at $9995. An IDS only version is available for only $1995.
