COLSA Corporation Grabs Lumigent's AppGRC To Improve Its Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) Audit Capabilities

Lumigent Technologies, Inc., the GRC business apps company, announced recently that AppGRC has been selected by COLSA Corporation in order to meet the DCAA's new compliance reporting requirements.

COLSA Corporation is a technology services and solutions company servicing both government and commercial customers. It is headquartered in Huntsville, AL and employs over 900 people. The recent changes in the DCAA audit model served as a catalyst for the company to add the regulatory compliance software to its existing Deltek Costpoint system.

AppGRC will run along side of the Costpoint application already in production and will continuously monitor its source data and key controls, automating its compliance reporting.

"COLSA's mission is to provide services and technology solutions to its customers by utilizing the latest and most innovative technological solutions available," said Paul Campaniello, vice president of marketing at Lumigent. "Deploying AppGRC not only enables COLSA to practice this mission more efficiently, but it essentially allows them to follow it themselves as well, by utilizing the most innovative software available for a DCAA audit."

Rick Brooks, director of IT at COLSA Corporation, said, "AppGRC will fulfill the new audit requirements being imposed on us by the DCAA. It will enable the government monies that flow through COLSA to be audited to SOX-like standards. Utilizing AppGRC, COLSA will be able to definitively demonstrate what data changed and when within our Deltek Costpoint system."
