Information Assurance: An E-Gov Conference is being held September 25 to 28 and will address ways in which government information systems can be defended and protected. With vast amounts of electronic data resources in use internally and externally, in routine and mission critical applications, this conference will discuss how government managers and professionals can identify threats to information systems and how to implement appropriate countermeasures.

Thirty sessions will be held to explore the challenges of securing electronic government assets in a cyberworld context, and to help attendees understand the threats and examine the latest strategies and solutions to the security challenges facing today's professionals in the public sector. The program will cover security analysis and planning, regulatory requirements, and technology solutions.
