CSSI Wins Major Navy Contract

Work to Take Place in Charleston, Norfolk, New Orleans, Patuxent River, Washington, DC, and Antarctica

The United States Navy's Space and Naval Warfare System Center has awarded CSSI, Inc. a major contract to provide high-level technical support on air traffic control and meteorology and oceanographic electronic systems and equipment, the company announced today.

CSSI will be providing services that include web portal development, network engineering and management operations, systems engineering, computer applications training, data integration and help desk support.

The bulk of the work will be undertaken in CSSI's rapidly growing Charleston, SC office. The contract, however, includes additional work at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station in MD; SPAWAR Detachment in Norfolk, VA; the U.S. Naval Reserve operations center in New Orleans, LA; and McMurdo Station in Antarctica.

"The work performed by CSSI for SPAWAR and the Naval Reserves in the past has been very well received," said William Colligan, President of CSSI, Inc. "So we're extremely pleased they've elected to have our company become even more involved in addressing their technical services' needs."

The first year of the new contract, which was competitively procured under full and open competition, is worth more than $5.4 million. If the remaining option years are fully exercised the total contract value is more than $28 million.

Founded in 1990, CSSI, Inc., is an engineering and technical services company specializing in systems analysis and engineering, airspace initiatives, and information and program management. Clients include the international and U.S. aviation industry, the Federal Aviation Administration, NASA, and the Department of Defense.
