Dick Pacific Awarded $318M Contract By Navy

Pittsburgh, PA - Dick Pacific announced recently that it has been awarded a $318M contract by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Pacific, through its affiliate company, Shaw-Dick Pacific LLC. The award is for the construction of the Hawaii Regional Security Operations Center (HRSOC) at the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station in Wahiawa. This is the largest contract award for Dick Pacific, according to the company.

The contract with NAVFAC is at the US Navy's 700-acre Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Pacific in Wahiawa. The project includes a state-of-the-art, two-story Operations and Data Center Facility, as well as the construction of a Visitors Control Center, Warehouse Building, and other supporting building and infrastructure, including new access roads, parking and utilities.

"Dick Pacific is pleased to have been awarded a project of this importance and looks forward to working immediately with the Navy," said Gerry Majkut, Vice President and General Manager. Majkut expects the project to take approximately 39 months to complete, with a start date of early summer 2007 and completion date of September 2010. Over 500 workers will be needed for the project. In addition, Dick Pacific expects to employ about 40 local Hawaii contractors to support their effort.
