Spectra-View is an airborne, multi-spectral, digital remote imaging system that includes differential GPS and precision Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) attitude systems to record image centers
Spectra-View is an airborne, multi-spectral, digital remote imaging system that includes differential GPS and precision Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) attitude systems to record image centers. It can accommodate up to eight bands of spectral data at resolutions from 0.25- to 2.0-m/pixel. According to the manufacturer, it easily installs into both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters.

The system's software provides pre-planned flight lines, with scene centers and overlaps, and in-flight planning. Features of the software include automatic geo-referencing and band-to-band registration; radiometric calibration; optics calibration; free viewing software; an output format comprised of raw, band-registered raw, geo tiff, and tiff with header; a processing time of 20 sec/scene; and full compatibility with GIS software.

Specifications of the system include:

  • Cameras: 1K × 1K multi-spectral; 2K × 2K multi-spectral; 4K × 7K panchromatic
  • Detector range: 400 nm to 8µ
  • Geo-accuracy: 2m on the fly
  • Speed: 304 knots at 1m resolution
  • Laptop controls: set shutter speed, view histogram, view scenes, and guidance information
