DynCorp International Awarded U.S. Army Contract For Construction In Afghanistan

Falls Church, VA - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Transatlantic Command, has awarded DynCorp International one of five indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts for general construction in Afghanistan. The contract covers one base year and two option years and has a potential value of $1.8B for all awardees over the contract's lifetime, not to exceed $600M per year.

Individual task orders with values ranging from $5 to $25M will be issued on a firm-fixed-price basis. Upcoming work will involve replacement, renovation, repairs, and new construction throughout Afghanistan.

"We are proud to support our country's effort to bring stability and hope to the Afghan people, and we are very gratified to continue our construction work in Afghanistan under the direction of the Army Corps of Engineers," said DynCorp International President and CEO Herbert J. Lanese. "Our vast experience in Afghanistan over the last five years—including several successful construction projects—will serve us and the Army well in this new undertaking."
