EDO Receives Contract For Self-Defense Electronics

New York - EDO Corporation has been awarded a $13.2 million contract from the US Air Force for the purchase of Advanced Capability Pods (ACaP). The contract includes spares, support equipment, training and documentation. Deliveries will occur through mid 2007.

The ACaP is a state-of-the-art, Electronic Warfare self-defense pod designed for various tactical aircraft, and will be used by the USAF's 65th Aggressor Squadron based at Nellis AFB, Nev. This squadron is responsible for training of combat air forces.

"We are continuing a long history of providing the most advanced electronic self-defense systems to our Air Force," said Chief Executive Officer James M. Smith. "This includes the AN/ALQ-161A defensive suite on the B-1B bomber, as well as the jamming pods on the EA-6B Prowler. We are pleased to continue to provide the Air Force with the finest in self-defense electronics."
