According to the manufacturer, this sling won't slip or damage the cylinder surface, and provides a secure handle, enabling just one individual to move a cylinder to a welding or cylinder cart.
Users secure a cylinder by looping the sling over a cylinder and pulling tight. It adjusts to all common compressed gas cylinder sizes from 4- to 15-in.-dia. Molded urethane gripper bars provide traction while remaining flexible, so they hold the sling in place securely. This leaves a user's hands free to slide the sling's lifting eye over a load hook or forklift tine. The stainless steel oval ring features an additional welded inner link that prevents the sling from bunching and allows for a smooth upward transition.
The sling has a rated capacity of 400 lb and has been tested on wet and dry cylinders up to 2,000 lb. The manufacturer states that the sling is safe to use and can help prevent back injuries.
