GrimmerSchmidt was founded in 1969, specializing in the manufacture of portable air compressors for the construction market and skid mounted compressors for special applications. Other products include stationary industrial air compressors and air powered tools.

The compressors are built at our 50,000 sq. ft. facility in Franklin, IN. The location of the factory in the Midwest United States allows G/S to economically ship across the country and places us near the important suppliers of engines, steel and other major components.

The company is one of four Divisions of Grimmer Industries, which is owned by the Grimmer family and Grimmer Industries Management. Grimmer Industries is made up of GrimmerSchmidt Compressor, Hurricane Compressors, ANGI International and PRO Industries. Of the four companies, three manufacture or package compressors. Regardless of the application, portable or stationary; engine driven or electric motor driven; compressed air/gas boosters or compressed natural gas fueling stations are all available from the companies of Grimmer Industries.
