Twelve Hyland Software Government Customers Recognized At 2008 Digital Counties Awards

Center for Digital Government holds winners reception during annual conference

Hyland Software, developer of the OnBase(R) enterprise content management (ECM) software suite, has announced that 12 of its county government customers have been recognized as top digital counties in 2008 by the Center for Digital Government based on results from its annual survey. Honorees were acknowledged during the 2008 National Association of Counties (NACo) Annual Conference and Exposition on July 13, 2008 in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Hyland customers that were recognized include Westchester County, N.Y.; Orange County, Calif.; Richland County, S.C.; Dakota County, Minn.; Washtenaw County, Mich.; Frederick County, Md.; Yuma County, Ariz.; Racine County, Wis.; Ottawa County, Mich.; Geauga County, Ohio; Napa County, Calif.; and Delaware County, Ohio.

The Digital Counties Survey is an annual study by the Center for Digital Government and NACo that was made available to all United States counties in April. County officials responded to questions that included more than 100 measurements and data points about online service delivery, infrastructure, architecture and governance models. The survey grouped counties into four population categories: 500,000 or more; 250,000-499,999; 150,000-249,999; and fewer than 150,000. A top-10 ranking was established for each category.

"These counties have demonstrated the significance of document management in successful government technology initiatives. With OnBase they are able to run their respective organizations more efficiently, resulting in better service to constituents," said Mike Bilardo, Director of Government Solutions at Hyland Software. "We are proud to be able to work with these visionary counties toward a more effective and digital public sector."
