Semio Tagger is a new information categorization tool that automatically derives classification metadata from unstructured text and publishes it to an easily integrated XML format.
The tool analyzes the information contained within a document's unstructured text and provides classifications that can come from any kind of thesaurus, taxonomy, or other hierarchical structure. These classifications can then be exploited by any XML-friendly product, which can leverage rich metadata.
Additional features of the new tool include support for different languages, an improved user interface, a new web crawler, an improved Lotus Notes interface, ODBC input, relevance ranking, and structured XML output.
