Jacobs Subsidiary Wins $50 Million USDA Contract

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that its subsidiary Jacobs Facilities Inc. has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service to supply architectural-engineering (A-E) services throughout the United States and its territories.

The potential value of this indefinite quantity contract is $50 million.

Jacobs will provide A-E services to support major facility renovation projects as well as repair and maintenance, alteration, and/or new construction projects for the USDA's research laboratory facilities.

The pre-design, design, and post-design A-E services will be primarily in the disciplines of architecture and civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and environmental engineering.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Warren Dean stated, "This is a follow-on contract for us with the USDA. We have served them for the past five years and we are dedicated to continuing to provide them with the highest level of service, and retaining them as a repeat client."
