L-3 Vertex Awarded Navy Depot Contract Valued at $63.6 Million

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 3, 2004--L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced today that L-3 Vertex Aerospace (L-3 Vertex), a subsidiary of its Integrated Systems division, has been awarded a four-year, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) task order contract to provide Depot Level Maintenance (DLM) services to the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Depot Jacksonville in Florida, and detachments to the Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia and to the Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort in South Carolina. With the base one-year award plus three, one-year options, the total contract value is estimated to be $63.6 million. L-3 Vertex will perform modernization, conversion, in-service repair, disassembly, and other categories of heavy/structural depot-level maintenance for a variety of aircraft, including the EA-6B, F-14, F-18, H-60 and P-3, as well as engine overhaul services. The contract was awarded by Naval Supply Systems Command, Philadelphia, Pa.
