Lockheed Martin Awarded $124 Million Blanket Purchase Agreement By Social Security Administration
Seabrook, MD - Lockheed Martin has been selected to provide information technology services to the Social Security Administration (SSA) under the agency's Electronic Disability (eDib) Initiative National Scanning Project. These services are covered under a blanket purchasing agreement that will be performed over five years and has a potential value of $124 million.
Lockheed Martin will provide services that include scanning paper medical and non-medical records and creating digital images for transmission. The images are sent to an electronic folder that is part of the SSA's Document Management Architecture.
In addition to performing management operations near SSA headquarters in Baltimore, Md., Lockheed Martin will establish and staff three scanning centers to support the SSA offices in the 50 states and the US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Guam.
