MAXIMUS Bags Wisconsin Welfare-To-Work Contract Rebids

Reston, VA - MAXIMUS, a government services company aimed at providing program management, consulting and information technology services has won two contract rebids with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development worth more than $25M. The term of these two contracts is four years (January 1, 2006 through December 31, 2009) with no options to extend.

Under these contracts, MAXIMUS will continue to provide job development and placement services as part of the Wisconsin Works (W-2) program. MAXIMUS will also provide case management services to a program in the Southwest and Northwest W-2 regions of Milwaukee County.

"These are strategic contract awards that allow MAXIMUS to continue its nine-year partnership with the State of Wisconsin operating the nation's model welfare-to work program," said Richard Montoni, CEO of MAXIMUS. "Helping individuals and families in Wisconsin to move from dependence upon public assistance to self-sufficiency through gainful employment is beneficial to the State and rewarding for our staff and our Company as a whole," he added.
