MediaMapper is a GIS mapping software that automates "hotlinking" of multimedia files to the map locations where the files were obtained. The software includes an add-on that enables wireless data collection using any digital still camera and a Garmin handheld GPS receiver. The software is compatible with the GPS-enabled KODAK DC290 Digital Zoom Camera. The DC290 can be outfitted with the standard Garmin handheld GPS receiver as bundled by Kodak, or it can be used with the VMS 200 hardware for GPS data that's ready for differential post-processing with EZdiff. The new software provides improved multimedia capture support, including enhanced video capture efficiency, USB video and still capture device support, and improved multimedia viewer. Image reprocessing options are also provided to help users optimize their captured images before exporting an HTML media map.
