NCI Awarded $2.0M NETCENTS Task Order To Enhance Air Force eCommerce Solution

Reston, VA - NCI, Inc., a provider of information technology services and solutions to U.S. Federal Government agencies, announced recently that it was awarded a task order valued at an estimated $2.0M to deliver a new Web-based eCommerce solution to support the Air Force's purchase of information technology (IT) assets.

Under this new NETCENTS task order, NCI will provide solutions to better enforce Government rules and workflow requirements, integrate financial management functions with the Air Force's existing AFWay system's functions, and to provide a scalable and flexible foundation to meet future strategic enterprise-wide purchasing needs for all commodities and services. AFWay II is an initiative that is expected to eventually replace the legacy AFWay system and support Network-Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) applications, as well as support the Information Technology Commodity Council (ITCC) strategic sourcing initiatives. AFWay II is an element of the DoD Acquisition Sourcing Domain, which is part of the DoD Business Management Modernization Program and Business Enterprise Architecture (BMMP/BEA).

"AFWay II will pave the way for future Air Force and DoD eCommerce capabilities. We are pleased that the Air Force has once again recognized NCI as a high-value provider of sound IT solutions," said Terry Glasgow, NCI President and Chief Operating Officer.
