Nexus Group International: Acsys Biometrics Technology Is Part Of The Largest Biometric Project Awarded By A US agency, Totaling $51 Million USD

BURLINGTON, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 25, 2003-- US Agencies award contract to DynCorp to build full spectrum of information technology resources built on Acsys' facial recognition solutions and AND Corporation's HNeT(TM) technology Acsys Biometrics Corporation, a leading edge provider of face recognition technology and a joint venture of Nexus Group International, (TSX:NXS) based in Ontario, announced today that the National Institutes of Health (NIH), has contracted with DynCorp International LLC, a subsidiary of CSC, for a $51 million dollar (USD) contract to provide a full spectrum of information technology services and products to federal agencies of the United States based on Acsys Biometrics' face recognition software and AND Corporation's HNeT(TM) technology. Acsys' partner DynCorp received the award from the National Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC), an agency of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Acsys and AND are in the process of finalizing their contractual relationships with DynCorp (including their respective compensations), and expect to finalize contracts in the near future. David Delaney, Director of Business Development said, "This award is a part of the largest biometrics contract ever issued by a US agency and we are pleased that our technology was instrumental in DynCorp being awarded this contract. DynCorp has been a loyal promoter of our technology domestically and internationally, -- our relationship with them strengthens our position with agencies of the U.S. government for biometric solutions." "The U.S. government remains the largest potential buyer of biometric technology and we are thrilled to be recognized and selected for this landmark biometric contract. We look forward to integrating our core technology into this contract for the US government," said John Sutherland, CTO of Acsys, and president of AND.
