The company offers the "C" generation 6mm VideoProbe XL featuring the extremely high resolution image among 6mm-diameter videoborescopes available today. Equipped with the solid-state SUPER HAD CCD imager technology, this enhanced version VideoProbe XL has 50 percent more pixels than competitive videoprobe models. The imager's tightly aligned pixels (380,000 NTSC format; 420,000 PAL format) deliver clear, true-color images from deep inside aircraft engines, gas turbines, boiler tubes, heat exchangers and other hard-to-reach places.
Additional enhancements to the VideoProbe XL make it more durable to withstand the rigors of most any inspection. For greater durability and protection, the head of the probe has been made more rugged. The titanium head construction provides exceptional camera protection. A redesigned bending neck provides improved sturdiness with the same functional All-Way articulation. In addition, the bending neck junction has been improved to protect and seal the end of the bending neck in harsh environments.
The "C" generation provides the same great features of its predecessor model. It features plug-and-play capability and portability. There are no cables to connect. Everything fits into a single case weighing less than 32 pounds. While the system is light enough to carry short distances, the carrying/shipping case is equipped with wheels and a retractable handbar for longer hauls.
The VideoProbe XL features a user-friendly handpiece for easy viewing, operation and control. A joystick provides simple control of the All-Way tip articulation. Press "HOME" on the handpiece and the probe tip automatically recenters itself for easy navigation. A high-resolution LCD is integrated into the handpiece for easy viewing. Once the equipment is turned on, using the keypad and joystick on the hand-held device, the operator follows the onscreen instructions and begins the inspection.
