Seven vendors to compete for DIESCON 3 task orders

The Defense Intelligence Agency has awarded a blanket purchase agreement to seven vendors for the Defense Intelligence Information Systems Integration and Engineering Support Services Contract 3, worth an estimated $300 million. For the five-year deal, DIA selected BAE Systems North America of Rockville, Md., Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. of McLean, Va., Computer Sciences Corp., Lockheed Martin Corp., Northrop Grumman Corp., SRA International Inc. of Fairfax, Va., and Titan Corp. of San Diego, an agency spokesman said. Under the BPA, known as DIESCON 3, DIA and other intelligence agencies can buy IT products and services from the seven vendors, who will compete with each other for task orders. The offerings include systems and software integration, database management, systems and network engineering, security support, video production, teleconferencing, hardware, software, training, documentation, architectural and operational services, and systems and facilities management.
