StorageTek SnapShot software is virtual duplication software that makes instantaneous backups of your data using no additional physical storage. It takes full advantage of the virtual disk architecture of the StorageTek 9500 Shared Virtual Array (SVA) disk system.

No additional hardware. SnapShot's copying capabilities eliminate the need for additional disk capacity. Extra disk capacity is not required because no additional physical storage is used.

Reduces costs. Significantly reduces CPU and channel utilization costs associated with data movement. Make as many copies as needed without the cost of traditional copying.

Immediate availability. Data is ready to share immediately after a "snap" is taken.
